Texas Holdem poker is played with up to 10 players at the table and it is played with only one deck of cards. The main purpose is to have the highest hand at the table (although it doesnt mean that the player with the highest hand is the one getting all the money)
The game itself starts with a small pot which contain the small and the big blinds – those are bets 2 different players (who are the player on the left to the dealer of that round and the player next to him) place each round in order to have initial pot. After that, each player get 2 cards facing down, and a betting round begins (pre flop) each player can call (meaning placing the bet needed to stay in the game), raise (meaning betting more than the minimum bet to stay in the game which makes it now the minimum bet for the rest in order to stay in the game) or fold (which means you are out of that hand. Then 3 community cards (first 3 cards called the flop, followed by one single card which is known as the turn and final single card – the river), These cards are open for all players and between each there is a betting round.
After all 5 community cards are facing up, the showdown begins, at the end, the highest remaining hand (everyone who didnt fold during the betting rounds) will win the pot.
